This is becoming personal for me:

I already knew about this. They also kill the pups in the dens. There was a HUGE outrage over that because the public was not informed. She represents all of the things I find most dispicable.

The ad meant to highlight the brutality when an animal dies.

Predators will conflict when competing for the same resources. This has long been a problem for over a century out west where I grew up, in sparsely populated states such as Wyoming and Alaska.

I'm glad that today the predator populations (wolves, eagles, bears, etc.) are managed to make sure that they don't drop too low. However, we must act when their numbers grow too many. There really is no method that is going to be considered 'humane' in doing so. It isn't a pleasant business. The methods only differ in efficiency.

And, yes, for the record, I love my two dogs dearly. (While they're not competing for my food supply or livelihood, which fortunately isn't often. Except that time they conspired to steal my sandwich.)

There are humane and inhumane ways of dealing with predators. I have no problem with hunting, so long as you make use of all that you killed (eating, making clothing, etc. - I am not a fan of stuffing & mounting).

There are two problems with aerial hunting (besides the obvious cruelty and unsportsmanly issues) 1. if you shoot from the aircraft, you do not recover the carcass or use it for anything meaning the life is going complttely to waste. 2. If the predator is so far into the wilderness that they can only be dealt with via aircraft, they are NOT competing for resources with people and therefore not a problem. And I don't consider killing predators to increase the moose population for more hunting an adequate reason in an already over-fed nation.
